Greetings and congrats!

I left the guild to get some end game experience and all has went well. People like Yayorbitgum (One of the best rogues on the server) were who I've been raiding with. I've gone on to experience a number of new things. 10 man raids and long ways down the road 25 man raids will be the goal of your guild. These are quite a bit different than regular instances and heroic instances at lvl 70. Your nice gear and nice damage on the meters will only get you so far in these. So here are a few tips for gearing up and getting ready for end game raiding.

*Money*
YOUR MOUNTS COME FIRST! When you're in Outland and you're in the mid 60's you DO NOT NEED TO BE BUYING GEAR. I cannot emphasize what a waste of money that is. If you buy gear you will be setting yourself back. Your flying mount is your ticket to end game and don't foget it. You cannot do Arcatraz, Botanica, Shattered Halls, and Mechanar without a flying mount. I wore lvl 31 shoulders till I was lvl 67. The quest rewards and instance drops will be plenty to further your gear, spending money is not necessary.

Your best way to earn money is to quest. Your professions should be kept up also, but questing is your fastest way. I never made 450g in one day by selling leatherworking stuff, only by questing.

*Reputation*
This is extremely important. You wanna go to Karazhan? Well you have to have reputation first. This is a long and agonizing process at times I know, I'm still in the process of it myself. I assure it is 100% necessary though. You need to be keyed heroicly for all of the dungeons to get into a Kara and be invited back. This means you must be at least honored with them (Down from exalted when I had to get all of my keys and let me tell you it was horrible to get heroic keys then). You will have to quest, run instances (Shadow Labs, Shattered Halls, Steam Vaults, etc) that award you reputation when you kill mobs in the instances. You may also have to farm items like warbeads, it's not fun let me tell ya. You also have to look at what each reputation faction's quartermaster gives you. +spell damage head enchants, etc. These are very important for getting into end game raids.

You get your first heroic key and you're excited, but you cannot be queing for heroics while still in greens. You need to be in blues at 70 before you're trying to run heroics. You also should research or ask around what kind of stats you need. Holy Paladins for example will be good to heal in heroics when they have 9.5k mana and +1000 healing bonus.

*Heroics*
These are instances you ran 60-70 except the mobs are all 71-72 elites instead. These are more intense, but you are award much better loot, reputation, and badges. Badges you will save up and spend on epic gear. Heroics are a big part of getting ready for Karazhan so run them often for gear, reputation, and gems.

*Karazhan Attunement*
You start a quest at lvl 70. It's a chain of quests that ultimately gives you the key to Karazhan. You will have to run Steam Vaults, Shadow Labs, Arcatraz, Black Morass, etc and then you will have your key completed. Once your key is completed doesn't mean you're ready to go into Kara. By then you need to know what gear you need from heroics and what gear you need from reputation. Karazhan isn't like Ramparts where you just pick people, 10 people in the guild are selected and run it. This isn't something you can just pug so take your attunement seriously. Before Kara for example Feral Druids need to have at least a 420 defense rating so they are uncrushable. It's knowledge about your class like that that will let the guild progress quicker.

*When Kara Does Happen*
You may not get chosen. It's not the guild's way of saying you suck, you should be taking incentive to make yourself better. Only 10 slots are availible. 3 healers, 2 tanks, and the melee and ranged dps varies. You have to understand that crying about how you didn't get invited doesn't change why you didn't get invited, you have to gear up and earn your spots yourself.

*Help From Guildies*
There are a lot of first time players in the guild. There is nothing wrong with that, WoW is a learning experience. On important WoW questions simply get on the "who" channel and look up a 70 in your class and then ask them. More than likely they will have no problem answering questions you have. And start questing and running instances wtih your guildies now. Protection Warriors don't dps so well, so bring a rogue or warlock to make questing faster. You need to start working together now and getting used to each other's style so that thing will flow smoothely at 70.

Good luck leveling and getting ready for the end game stuff guys.

Good tips, but I thought it was 490 Defense made you uncrushable, at least for warriors.

My bad, I didn't specify. 420 druids, 490 warriors.
